WHAT IS AN EDITor?

A person removing mistakes? Kind of.
Someone doing a final polish? Sure.
A workhorse? Absolutely.

But at our most basic, an editor is a storyteller.

From the smallest building block in the timeline— the frame— to an entire feature,
our storytelling is rooted in two things: narrative and emotion.

Countless options in the edit make for unexpected discoveries, allowing
what was caught in-camera to be rethought and refined until it’s
not only just right, it’s something new.

I love editing not only because it’s a truly collaborative process,
but because it’s the moment that footage transfigures
into something even more exciting: it becomes a scene.

As anyone who’s done it will say, it’s endlessly rewarding to work together
as storytellers to create something impactful, unique, and wholly entertaining.
